Nvidia announced memoranda of understanding with six major financial firms — Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR — to establish AI compute infrastructure financing platforms aimed at mobilizing more than $500 billion in third-party capital.
The dedicated funding pools are intended to offer competitive financing to AI labs, enterprises, and cloud providers building out data centers and compute capacity across Nvidia's ecosystem. The agreements remain non-binding pending definitive contracts between the parties.
The announcement reflects how the AI buildout has shifted from a race for better models to a capital-intensive contest over chips, power, and data-center capacity, with Big Tech's cumulative AI infrastructure commitments now approaching $1.5 trillion. Some analysts flagged the arrangement as a form of "circular financing," since Nvidia's own hardware sales stand to benefit directly from capital it helped arrange, a dynamic that has drawn comparisons to vendor-financing structures from the dot-com era.
