When you purchase Microsoft cloud services through a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partner like Increscent, your partner bills you directly. You will not receive a separate or official invoice from Microsoft for those subscriptions or Azure usage.
How CSP Invoicing Works
- Single Consolidated Invoice: Instead of receiving multiple invoices from Microsoft for different services, your CSP partner issues a single, itemized bill. This covers your Azure consumption, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and related cloud services in one place.
- Direct vs. Indirect Resellers: Whether your partner is a Direct Bill CSP or an Indirect Reseller working with a distributor, the customer experience is identical regarding invoicing: you pay your partner, not Microsoft.
- Billing Flexibility: Because the partner handles billing, they can often offer tailored payment options, local currency support, consolidated department tags, and streamlined invoicing schedules.
Transitioning from Direct Microsoft Billing
If you currently buy directly from Microsoft (e.g., via a credit card or Microsoft Customer Agreement), Microsoft generates your monthly bill. When you migrate your Azure subscriptions or seat-based licenses to a CSP partner, future charges transfer to the partner's invoice. Your underlying cloud infrastructure and services continue seamlessly without interruption, but your payment relationship shifts entirely to your CSP partner.
