Jul 10The underlying Azure consumption pricing is generally the same list price whether you buy direct (pay-as-you-go) or through a CSP partner's Azure Plan — CSP doesn't inherently mean higher list prices.
Where differences come from
- Partners may apply a margin on top of Microsoft's price in exchange for the support and management they provide — this varies by partner.
- CSP customers can access Reservations and Savings Plans through their partner the same way direct customers can.
- Billing is consolidated into one invoice rather than Microsoft's direct billing portal.
The best way to compare is to ask a prospective partner for a like-for-like quote against your current or projected Azure usage.
